These terms of service govern your use of the ShelfBase platform and website. By using ShelfBase, you agree to these terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ShelfBase, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time with notice provided via the platform or email.
Description of Service
ShelfBase is a cloud-based inventory management platform that allows users to track, organize, and analyze inventory items. Features vary by subscription plan. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use ShelfBase.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use ShelfBase to violate applicable laws, infringe the rights of others, upload malicious software, or disrupt the service. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
Subscription & Payment
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Payments are processed by Paddle.com as Merchant of Record; Paddle's refund policy (paddle.com/legal/terms) and applicable EU consumer law apply, including a 14-day right of withdrawal for B2C contracts. Prices are exclusive of applicable local taxes.
Intellectual Property
ShelfBase and its content, features, and functionality are owned by ShelfBase and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all data you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the service.
Termination
You may cancel your account at any time with a notice period of no more than two months to the end of the current billing period (EU Data Act). We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you breach these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our privacy policy.
Limitation of Liability
We are fully liable for damages resulting from intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health. For other damages caused by slight negligence, we are only liable if an essential contractual obligation (cardinal obligation) has been breached, limited to the foreseeable, typical contractual damage, and in any case no more than the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. These limitations do not apply in cases of fraudulent misrepresentation or breach of data protection rights.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Germany. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
Data Portability (EU Data Act)
Upon written request, we will provide your data within 30 days in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (CSV or JSON). No fees are charged for data transfers. From January 13, 2027, switching to other providers must be supported fully and free of charge under the EU Data Act. To request a data export, contact us at: contact@shelfbase.de.
